Concordia University Texas Athletic Complex

Project Brief

To provide more on-campus practice and tournament facilities for its student-athletes, Concordia University selected Echelon Leadership to lead the team expanding its existing Athletic Complex of baseball and softball fields. To be completed over multiple phases, the new facilities include a NCAA-compliant synthetic turf soccer field, seating for 300, a NCAA-compliant 8-lane track and natural grass infield, seating for 200, a track and field press box, a tennis facility with 8 courts, spectator seating, and a multi-purpose athletic building with concessions, public restrooms, locker rooms, training space, offices, and a soccer press box. The 400-acre campus is located within the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve with restrictions during the 5-month warbler nesting season. The project footprint has 40 feet of elevation difference and has a limestone karst environmental feature constraint.
