Highland Park United Methodist Church Lobby & Confirmation

Project Brief

Echelon was engaged to lead interior renovations on the main campus at HPUMC. Both the main entrance lobby and Confirmation space were in need of updates to better serve and reflect their members. The goals for the lobby renovation were to refresh finishes and better match them to the rest of campus, create a larger and more functional welcome desk, and repurpose the former security area into a connection space for visitors. Improvements included new finishes from floor to ceiling, lighting, millwork, signage, and furniture. Similarly, the Confirmation ministry needed an overhaul to better reflect the youth in a modern way. Renovations extended throughout a new multi-purpose space and game room, classrooms, offices, and volunteer lounge. Construction involved new finishes, lighting, millwork, furniture, and AV systems. The Confirmation Center is now named in honor of The President George W. and Laura Bush Family.
