Project Brief

Westwood School, a private K-12 Montessori academy, envisioned a new campus with an emphasis on creativity, community, and the environment — but undeveloped land in Farmers Branch was limited. Echelon facilitated the selection of a seven-acre site, and re-imagined its existing industrial building for education. The redevelopment plan included raising the roof to add a second story, cutting new windows to bring in natural light, and warming the exterior with brick and metal finishes. The new, state-of-the-art campus features innovative indoor and outdoor learning spaces and efficient building practices, exemplifying Westwood’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
