Project Brief

Highland Park UMC’s new Tolleson Family Activity Center delivers more space and flexibility to their ever-expanding special needs and youth ministries at the site of their previous recreation center. The first floor provides easy access to sensory and motor movement rooms, classrooms, and a teaching kitchen to serve the Special Needs community. The second floor consists of a gaming center, lounge area and café for the youth ministry, while the third floor houses a gymnasium and 500-person worship center. With real estate at a premium, 140 parking spaces are available in two levels below ground. Echelon managed the varying needs of each user group to ensure that the building serves them all, while still serving the church as a whole.
