Project Brief

Occidental Petroleum’s new corporate aviation facility is more than a place to land, store and service business jets — it’s also a place where people come to work every day. As such, the client requested a state-of-the-art hangar, as well as office and maintenance spaces designed to provide an excellent work environment. Echelon facilitated selection of the right firms, and provided project leadership. Using natural materials and high-end finishes, the design team created a warm and inviting lobby. Meanwhile, the architectural team incorporated technology, ventilation, and LED lights into the hangar design. Echelon communicated with all parties throughout, ensuring goals were met. Occidental’s new Flight Center goes above and beyond traditional hangars — without going over budget.
