Project Brief

Major renovations were required to the hotel after being devastated from back-to-back Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. During this time, Ownership decided that under the Marriott Brand, 94 Guestrooms would become Morningstar Buoy Haus an Autograph Collection separate from the main Westin Beach Resort. Echelon Leadership represented Fortress Investment Group and assisted the CM Agent who provided Project Management and onsite Construction Management services for the project. The project scope included demolition of the public spaces and guestroom building interiors back to the structure, repair the exteriors, replacement of doors, all new MEP, and all new interior partitions, finishes, and FF&E. Extensive site landscape and hardscape improvements were made throughout including the pool, new beach front event space, road and walk paths, parking lot, and overall beach improvements.
